Looking Ahead: Another Year of TYE
“I hope that the upcoming Invention Lab will be an opportunity for many new young people and families to learn about what the TYE community has to offer.”
It is an exciting time for the TiE Young Entrepreneurs student leadership! As the school year picks up, we are beginning to prepare for the Community Program to begin in November. From being a student myself to working as Student Co-Director and now Lead Student Co-Director for TYE, I’ve every year felt grateful to be a part of this wonderful community of entrepreneurs and supporters and have the opportunity to learn from excellent mentors and peers alike.
Over the past couple of years, I’ve repeatedly been wowed each and every Sunday that our Community Program cohort meets. I’ve felt blessed to see my peers taking ownership of our world, building and sharpening their skills, and stepping bravely into a role as positive and powerful changemakers. The energy, dedication, thought and effort I’ve witnessed from my fellow TYE students has given me hope that communities like ours are cultivating a generation of conscientious leaders and creators, unafraid to start things and make the world a better place. The incredible work of our mentors and teachers, too, is far beyond inspiring. It is their support that allows us to become the future, and to create a community of empowered young citizens.
I hope that the upcoming Invention Lab will be an opportunity for many new young people and families to learn about what the TYE community has to offer. If you are interested, I hope you join us to get a sneak-peek into what we’re all about. I hope that our program will find those who share our passion for entrepreneurship, and that they may take advantage of the opportunity to create something, to work with those who may support them, and to become true leaders.
